Predictions
have been a part of the human experience since the beginning
of time. Some have been amazingly accurate and some completely
wrong. From Bible prophecy to Edgar Cayce to Nostradamus to a
host of lesser known people, predicting the future seems to be an
obsession with the human race. Some prophecy comes through dreams,
some during near death experiences, some from a trance, some from
out-of-body experiences, some from from gazing at water or crystal
balls ...there seems endless ways to see the future.
Curiously
enough, when President John Kennedy was assassinated in 1963, a
number of people independently predicted it. This brings us to the
introduction of an experiment on our part to get the maximum number
of people involved in attempting to predict the future in our
volatile and uncertain time. The following are descriptions of
methods that you can use to try to predict the future.
Dreams:
Apparently Abraham Lincoln dreamed of his own death shortly before
it happened. He was walking around his house during a dream when he
came upon a funeral in progress which, upon inquiry, he
learned was his own. Actually, there are a large number of
ordinary people, who having made the effort to remember their
dreams, have found themselves viewing or predicting the
future.
The question here is how do you discover
if you are occasionally having dreams that actually predict the
future? The best way is to conduct the following ritual every night
before going to bed or while lying in bed before going to sleep:
Tell yourself over and over "I will learn the future, I will
remember my dreams". Now, upon waking write down the pertinent
details of any unusual dream that you feel may contain images or
thoughts about the future - in other words, keep a small diary by
your bed. This may all seem silly but remember that you are
attempting to communicate with your subconscious or higher self
which only responds to a sincere and repetitious approach.
Astral
Projection:
Trying to view the future while having an out-of-body experience
will take an extra step from just attempting a projection. This may
prove somewhat difficult for those who are not fully adept at having
a projection at will because the overwhelming experience of
achieving a projection will most likely cause you to become
distracted. Here's a method to try: After you have achieved a number
of projections, go through the procedure as outlined in
Astral Projection
and upon implementing the methodology to project, say to your self
over and over "I will learn the future". You should also visualize
yourself going over to your favorite chair in your astral body and
sitting down. While sitting let your mind go blank and observe what
images or sounds occur.
Upon the conclusion of your Astral
Projection, arise and write down the details of your experiences.
You may find that attempting this works best in the early morning -
after you have had some sleep. What you experience may be presented
to you by the appearance and structure of thought forms, this also
may mean that any religious convictions or beliefs you have may
color what you view. Similar to achieving Astral Projection, you may
find it takes persistence and dedication to achieve results on
viewing future events while projected.
Gazing at water or crystal:
Sit back quietly in a comfortable arm chair - the type you use in
your living room and completely relax your body and mind ...you
should not be sleepy or you may fall asleep this is preferably done
in a meditation room. Next look at your crystal ball (or clear glass
of water), do not try to focus your eyes on the crystal ball but
look in it's direction without focusing - the crystal ball should be
directly ahead so you are not straining your neck or eye muscles to
view it. Let your mind go blank and keep pushing daily trivia and
irrelevant thoughts from your mind.
In the back of your mind think
that you want to view events from the future. Eventually you should
begin to see images and hear sounds - some will be from your
subconscious (similar to the disjointed images you see just before
falling asleep) and some will be actual telepathic messages. You
will be able to tell the difference with time and practice. Keep a
diary and write down your experiences for future reference.
Interpreting a near death experience:
Hopefully you will not have a near death experience - it's better to
achieve Astral Projection than nearly dying to experience future
probabilities or events.
However if you do have a near death experience, write down all the
details as soon after the event as possible so that you may refer
back to your notes in the future. Interpreting your experience may
be a personal process for instance you may find events are presented
by thought forms (possibly created by your higher self) that utilize
your religious beliefs and expectations.
Meditation:
This procedure is similar to gazing at a crystal except you close
your eyes and visualize a black background. As with crystal gazing
this procedure takes dedication and persistence and is best done in
a meditation room. Also keep a diary for future reference.
Producing a Trance:
First of all what is a trance? It has been described as an altered
or limited state of consciousness often associated with hypnosis and
often produced during meditation. Your brain naturally thinks a
variety of thoughts. A trance is induced when your brain is focused
on a limited number of repeating thoughts.
The process of putting an audience into a trance is employed
by advertisers preachers politicians and sales people - the use of
hysterics or passion is often the first stage - and is used to focus
and rivet peoples attention.
Drug addicts use drugs to limit and focus their thoughts into a dull
trance - have you ever noticed how monotonous and repetitive their
thinking and speech is? They often start out using drugs to escape
or because they think it's cool but eventually they always get
themselves trapped - it's very easy fall into having limited,
repetitive thoughts. The same process happens when people join
religious cults or identify with certain types of political
thinking. You may be thinking "what
use is a trance to viewing the future?" If you can put yourself into
a trance and take yourself out of it then you can use that trance
state to gain knowledge. Meditation uses the trance state in
fixating the mind to gain enlightenment and the individual who
practices meditation enters into and out of a trance state for
a purpose.
The most productive way for you to use a trance to view the future
is to utilize the procedures outlined above in gazing at water or
crystal and meditation.
These procedures produce a self induced trance which you'll
find productive without being sidetracked into other unproductive
mental fixations.
